The historic center is best explored on foot. If you arrive by train, the most convenient option is the funicular, which links the station to Piazza Cahen; from there you continue on foot or by city minibus.
From Piazzale Cahen to the Duomo the walk is straightforward and takes about ten minutes, crossing the heart of the city.
